MS Wolverines Fall to Commerce 6-0

The Middle School Softball team gave up one earned run but had four errors that resulted in five more runs crossing the plate which put the game out of reach in the 5th inning. At the plate, Prince had one lone base runner over the five innings played as Emmy Soles had a single and advanced to third on two stolen bases but could not get across home. In the field, we had some great moments as Molly Arrowood made a great catch in the infield as well as Ashley Oaks making a key stop to close an inning. Hannah Payne was steady at first with some great play as she had one unassisted out and a steady glove the entire day. On the mound, Emmy Soles allowed 5 hits and 8 strikeouts.

We are proud of the girls for competing and keeping the game close through 4 innings, with a score of 3-0. The Commerce team is the strongest team in the region and loaded with kids that play travel ball but our girls battled! We’re proud of each girl and the work ethic they bring to the field each day!

The Lady Wolverines are now 2-2 on the year and will travel to George Walton on Thursday. Please come support your wolverines!
