Lady Wolverines Defeat Commerce 11-8
The Prince Avenue Varsity Softball team came to play Tuesday night, and came away with the first win of the year , 11-8 over Commerce. The bats stayed hot and Annabeth Pruett allowed only 2 earned runs over 6 1/3 innings. Sydney Robert also pitched a scoreless 2/3's of an inning picking up the win, with AB coming back in to get the save. Prince scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th to go ahead for good. Sydney Roberts led the way at the plate going 3 for 4 with 3 RBI's. Chandler Carey was 3 for 3 with 1 RBI, while Bethany Campbell was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI's (on a 2-run HR, her 3rd in the last 2 games). Kadijah Arnold and Annabeth Pruett were each 2 for 4. Rachel Steele had 2 RBI's and Hannah Long also had an RBI. The Wolverines have 22 hits and 5 HR's and 25 runs over the last 2 games. Stay Hot and congrats on an awesome win
