Wolverines Fall to Social 17-8 but show a lot of promise in loss.
Annabeth Pruett started on the mound and went 6 innings taking the loss for the Lady Wolverines. AB was a force at the plate going 3 for 3 including a triple. AB also scored 4 runs. Bethany Campbell was 2 for 2 with a double and 2 RBI's. Sydney Roberts was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and an RBI. Kadijah Arnold, Chandler Carey, Kristy Phillips and Hannah Long added a hit each. The Lady Wolverines battled , crushing the ball throughout the entire game. Social jumped out to a 6-0 lead, but Prince stormed back to make it 6-3 in the bottom of the first, leaving runners stranded at 2nd and 3rd to end the inning. For the game Prince left 10 runners on base, and allowed 6 unearned runs. Social scored 7 runs over the next 2 innings to pull away 13-4, but the Lady Wolvervines scored 4 runs to cut it to 13-8 while holding Social scoreless for 2 innings. Social scored 4 in the 6th to put the game away. I am really proud of the team and look forward to this weekend. I think this can be a special season. Go Lady Wolverines!!!!
